Ponderosa Pediatrics is the largest children’s health clinic in the Prescott area. With that comes benefits that smaller groups cannot match. Here are a few reasons we should be your child’s doctors:
- We are open until 8 p.m., a blessing for working parents and an alternative to urgent care and emergency rooms. We charge our patients their regular copay. No ER high fees, no five hour waits, and you see your regular providers.
- You don’t need an appointment for your sick kid. Established patients just need to bring their sick child in weekdays between 7:45 and 9 a.m. Although this is a first come-first served clinic, and you may wait during the busy season, you don’t have to call for an appointment or wait for a nurse to return a call. Think of the nights you were awake with sick children only to find the first available appointment was not until 2 p.m. No more!
- We almost always have same day appointments available. If you prefer a set appointment for your sick child, we can schedule the same day. This includes new patients and physicals, although we hold most same day slots open for sick children.
- Saturday sick clinic from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Call us starting at 8 a.m. Our providers stay until all sick children are seen. While there is a weekend appointment fee in addition to the standard charges, patient costs are significantly less than what they would pay for ER services. Plus you see your regular providers and don’t have to wait five or six hours! Many insurance companies cover the weekend fee, but even if they don’t, your costs are lower.
- We take most insurance plans, including both local AHCCCS plans.
- Discounts for patients without insurance paying at the time of the visit.
